Exterior Stucco Columns, Base & Caps
Essentially, a decorative column is formed by putting together these 3 parts. These architectural elements on a building usually determines or serves as the main architectural style of the building as they are so pronounced and usually are found at the main entrances to homes, municipal buildings as well as churches and commercial structures. A pilaster is essentially designed to represent a decorative column that is embedded in a flat wall surface. You will see this element at the entrance of many different types of buildings or spaced evenly on a long façade to create a colonnade effect to add depth and character to a flat elevation.
